ISO Certifications

Our quality management system is built on the principles of ISO 9001, the internationally recognised standard for quality management. This framework ensures that our processes are systematically planned, executed, monitored, and continuously improved. Our ISO-aligned quality management system covers all aspects of our operations, from supplier qualification and procurement through to storage, distribution, and customer service.

We require our manufacturing partners to maintain relevant ISO certifications, including ISO 9001 for quality management and, where applicable, ISO 13485 for medical devices. These certifications provide assurance that the products entering our supply chain have been manufactured under controlled, validated conditions.

Good Manufacturing Practice

While Josias Pharmaceutical is a distribution company rather than a manufacturer, GMP principles inform our approach to quality throughout the supply chain. We source exclusively from manufacturers who hold current GMP certification from recognised regulatory authorities, including the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), the European Medicines Agency (EMA), and the World Health Organisation (WHO).

Our manufacturer audit programme verifies GMP compliance through on-site inspections that evaluate facility design, equipment qualification, production controls, quality control testing, documentation practices, and personnel training. Only manufacturers who demonstrate sustained GMP compliance are approved as Josias Pharmaceutical suppliers.

Good Distribution Practice

Good Distribution Practice (GDP) is the quality standard that directly governs our operations as a pharmaceutical distributor. Josias Pharmaceutical is fully compliant with GDP requirements, ensuring that the quality and integrity of pharmaceutical products are maintained throughout the distribution chain.

Our GDP compliance is verified through regular inspections by the relevant regulatory authorities and is supported by a comprehensive quality management system that addresses every aspect of pharmaceutical distribution operations.
